2020 Fourth of July Holiday BBQ Recipe Ideas

The Fourth of July is one of our nation’s greatest and most celebrated holidays and the meals that have accompanied this grand holiday have, throughout the years, been just as splendid.

This, five-recipe Fourth of July holiday feature, specializing in all barbequed meals that you can try on your BTU Pellet Grill, is sure to please no matter where you may be celebrating the Fourth of July this year.

With the Fourth of July holiday season approaching, let’s get started.

Barbequed Leg of Lamb

Ingredients

  • 1 12-14 lb leg of lamb
  • 1 jar of minced garlic
  • 1 jar of barbeque sauce

Directions

To have a great piece of tender meat cooked on the grill, the best thing to do is marinate the meat the night before in your choice of seasoning. Place the whole lamb on the grill and let cook for approximately one hour, turning every twenty minutes. After one hour, take your barbeque sauce and coat the top side of the lamb and let cook for 15 minutes. Repeat this step until you have turned the lamb twice, then slice and serve.

Barbequed Cornish Hens

Ingredients

Buy a Cornish hen for each person you will be serving

  • 1 or 2 jar of barbeque sauce

Directions

Once again for great grilled and tender piece of meat, it’s best to marinate your Cornish hens in your choice of seasoning overnight. First wrap the rack to your grill in aluminum foil, poke several small holes all around the foil, then very lightly spray cooking spray on the covered rack.

Place rack on grill then put your hens on and let cook while rotating occasionally for about 35 minutes then lightly coat all your hens with barbeque sauce covering them completely.

Let cook for another 15 minutes then serve.

Barbequed Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1½ tbsp margarine
  • A bag frozen pink salmon
  • Old Bay Seafood Seasoning
  • One Sliced Onion
  • 1 25 yd box of aluminum foil
  • 1 bottle of favorite barbeque sauce

Directions

Take ¾ tbsp of butter and spread on center of one sheet f aluminum foil (approximately 18 in. by 12 in.). Place four pieces of pink salmon on sheet of aluminum foil and top with ¾ tbsp of margarine generous sprinkles of Old Bay seasoning and sliced onions.

Let cook approximately 15 min, open foil and generously cover pink salmon in barbecue sauce.

Close foil and cook five minutes longer.

Homemade Barbequed Triple-Meat Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground hamburger
  • 2 lbs. ground turkey
  • 1 lbs. ground pork breakfast sausage
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 bag of hamburger buns

Directions

Once you have all your supplies, place all your meat, cup of bread crumbs and two eggs in a large bowl and mix until completely mixed together. Then take just one cup of meat in your hands a shape like a ball then flatten and smooth around until you have a nice flat circle. Repeat until all the meat is gone, and then add to grill, flipping burgers occasionally until completely done.

Blazin’ Barbequed Buffalo Wings

Ingredients

  • 1tbsp margarine
  • Your choice of seasoning
  • 1 bag of chicken wing sections
  • 1 bottle Louisiana Hot Sauce
  • 1 bottle of favorite barbeque sauce
  • 1 bottle crushed red peppers
  • 1 box 25 yd aluminum foil
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard

Directions

Place ½ tbsp margarine on center of one sheet of aluminum foil (approximately 18 in. by 12 in.) and gently spread out. Take one dozen wing sections, place on aluminum foil and season to preference.

In a small bowl, pour barbeque sauce in and add ¼ cup of Louisiana Hot Sauce along with tbsp of mustard and two tsp of crushed red peppers. Mix well together.

Cook chicken for 30 minutes, open aluminum foil and apply homemade Blazin’ barbeque sauce. Cook for five minutes and meal is prepared.
